Psalm 62: 11
Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God.
Jeremiah 32: 17
Ah Lord God! It is you who made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus looked at them and said "For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible."
-:My Exposing Sermon (+ some teaching notes):-
All Power belongs to God. Not some, but all!
In response to suggesting there is a power stronger than God based on Mark 5: 5-6 iSay this, "Truly , I tell you, the Son can do nothing on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise" (see John 6:19). Moreover, God is gentle in spirit.
He is neither a taskmaster; nor does he demand compliance. Though he gives us commands, he has is also extraordinarily gracious. He gives us the choice to obey. He is patient. He is loving. He is a gentleman standing at the door knocking. He is waiting for us to ask him into our lives and home.
So tear down that stronghold of unbelief in your own hometown and let the King of Glory come in!
-:His Promise upon which He stands (to those who would believe + Hebrews 11:6):-
Jeremiah 29: 13
When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.
